Overview
BBC HealthHub is a physical Health & Wellbeing mobile application prototype which was petitioned by BBC Scotland. The brief given specified that the deliverable must fit in with the BBC Family, aligns with the BBC's missions and values, and reinforces the BBC as a trustworthy news source. In addition to this, the product had to designed for the 18 - 24 age demographic, had to be complimentary to the rest of the BBC product suite (including the utilisation of BBC Design guidelines), and drive traffic to other BBC products.
The outcome of the project was immensely successful, as the BBC were delighted with the outcome of the project. In addition to this, this project was one of three (out of a total of forty submissions) selected to be presented to the UX Design team at BBC Scotland headquarters in Glasgow.

Research
The first step in the research process of this project was to carry out a SWOT Analysis  of the BBC itself, and then performed a Heuristic Markup of the BBC News website in order to establish potential flaws within the BBC's design practices that could be amended in the final prototype. Following on from this, I carried out extensive research into the target demographic itself, with particular emphasis on how their lifestyles had been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on health and wellbeing.
Next I carried out some Competitor Analysis of similar digital products to examine their respective strengths and weaknesses in regard to not only being effective Health-tracking tools, but also providing strong User Experiences. Then, I conducted a short User Survey where I asked participants within the target demographic to answer a series of questions to gauge key influences which will impact the outcome of the prototype, finishing with the creation of User Personas, Empathy Mapping, and using the Kano/MoSCoW prioritisation method.

Development
With the Discover and Define stages complete, my first task within the Development stage was to begin ideation through the use of Crazy 8 sketches, experimenting with layouts for the Home, Onboarding, and Signup screens, respectively. Next, some low-fi wireframes were created to showcase 3 different Task Flows, which were then subject to User Testing to see if the processes were as intuitive as planned.
Then, the prototype's visual identity was established, and applied to a high-fidelity prototype with the implementation of various micro-interactions and animations to aid in establishing a professional tone of voice within the prototype, further emphasising the original objectives of fitting in with the BBC family of products and aligning with the BBC's key missions and values.
